Robo-Venture is a platformer action game where you follow Robo, a sentient robot who's stranded on an alien planet. Missing the 4 fuel cells to relaunch his rocket, take control of Robo to escape the wasteland! And on your journey, discover the history of your enemies and the world.
Traverse through 3 different levels to recover his fuel cells. Along the way, unlock new mods for Robo which augment gameplay, and test out your new moves against groups of enemies! And make your way through platforming/puzzling sections to recollect Robo's fuel cells.

Role
Robo
"Robo" is the main player character for the game. I created the model, and rigged and weight painted the model to get it properly ready for animation.
I created some concept art for Robo that the team agreed upon, and created the model based upon the concept art, expanding the design when necessary. The goal was to accentuate the legs and arms, as he had some core mechanics that related to his limbs.
​Robo is the first full model that I have ever rigged, so it is rudimentary, but the rig got the job done. It had working IK bending for the legs and arms, and the blank face allowed for different faces to be displayed depending on Robo's mood.






The Ship
After finishing Robo and sending him off for animation, the next main asset I made was the space ship Robo crash lands in. I was tasked with just making the model, and our designated environment artist created the textures, as I was still learning how to properly texture models.

Marketing and Leadership
For this project, I made most of the marketing materials, with some collaboration from others on the team. The main one I focused on was the main promotional poster, shown on the right. I also made different variations of promotional pieces, all based on the main poster, so that all materials were similar and consistent.
In terms of art direction, I created an art style guide for all the artists to follow in order to keep style within the game consistent. I provided feedback on all work submitted by artists, and helped guide general art direction when necessary.
